Mixed level social dance classes are offered throughout the year on Tuesday nights in Poway. These classes are social classes for beginner and intermediate dancers. Note that beginners may feel more comfortable in our Monday Beginner Class, where more time is spent on concepts, steps and figures. Dancers familiar with other forms of social dance but new to Scottish Country Dance may be more comfortable here.
Health Policy: Masks are optional at all classes and events. Please be considerate of others and avoid attending if you’re showing symptoms.

Mixed-Level Social Classes re-start Tuesday, Jan 13, 2026 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, with plans for a 12 week session.
This is a social dance class, open to dancers of any level. A partner is not required.
While it is best for new dancers to complete our Monday Beginner series before attending the Tuesday Class, we can accommodate new dancers if they start at the beginning of a multi-week session. At the start of a session, we can work with you to get you up-to-speed with the other dancers so that you may better enjoy your time in the class.
