On October 23rd, we were invited to dance at a ceilidh at the Karl Strauss Tasting Room to celebrate the launch of Lisa M. Birk’s debut novel, Captured: The Finlays and the Fae. Lisa is one of our dancers, and she often dances with us at our beginner classes or our social classes. We were thrilled to celebrate Lisa’s fantastic achievement with her.
Jeanne and Marjorie, with the help of many of our branch dancers, introduced Lisa’s family, friends, and fans to Scottish ceilidh dancing as a complement to the Scottish setting of Lisa’s novel. You can’t help but smile when you are dancing a ceilidh, and this was no exception. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We even convinced the bartender to join us for a few dances!

Congratulations on the launch of your book, Lisa!
